New technologies allow us to monitor and integrate meaures of levels of RNAs and proteins, their rates of decay, metabolic fluxes, and growth rates of wild-type and mutant cells in variety of environmental and pharmacological conditions. Systems models allow us to determine which protein, DNA & RNA motifs are involved and what quantitative strategies are optimal or sub-optimal.
